Telephone and online coaching sessions
In today’s world of expensive fuel, traffic congestion and busy lives I aim to maximise the use of technology where possible to suit clients’ needs. To do this I offer telephone and online coaching sessions. I have offered remote sessions since 2006 and luckily technology has developed massively since then to support this.
Here are a few of the benefits of working over the phone or online:
- Creates impact- removes any bias or prejudice that may be present in face to face sessions
- Gives a sense of anonymity- you may find you feel more comfortable and open up more quickly which will speed up overall progress
- Provides a safe environment- if you are in your own home you may feel more relaxed and again more able to open up
- An economical alternative- by not travelling to an appointment you save time and money
- Get the help you need- you may be able to get help you wouldn't otherwise be able to access, e.g. if you haven't got transport or work long hours, etc
The 3 main reasons people prefer online and telephone sessions
Sense of anonymity
People are sometimes initially resistant to phone-based coaching, although this is a well established alternative to face to face.
However, people often end up preferring it because it offers a sense of anonymity; some people feel that just having a voice on the other end of the phone helps them to be more open so they can share anything and not feel judged.
No need to travel
Due to mobility issues such as lack of transport you may feel isolated and not able to access the help you need- I can now offer you that.
It may be that you suffer from agoraphobia and need help to work through the fear of leaving the house or maybe you are housebound because you are unwell.
Alternatively perhaps you live very remotely or somewhere not served well by professionals or English speaking professionals. My aim is to help people worldwide, as well as nationwide.
Faster progress
The phone focuses attention solely on the clients’ voice. This is so powerful we should not underestimate it.
Being restricted to voice tone and other auditory cues can be very beneficial in coaching.
As a professional I am able to directly address clients’ issues and connect on a level that may not be achieved as quickly as in a face to face session.
